EPA Warns Of Dangerous Levels Of Romance In Air

"Early indications of romantic exposure include a flushing of the skin around the face, neck, and chest, accelerated heartbeat, rapid eyelash batting, and sighs," EPA administrator Steven Johnson said at a morning press conference. "Left untreated, the ailment progresses rapidly, leading to aimless strolls, floral purchases, and a form of acute and regressive aphasia in which the victim's speech degenerates into that of a young child."

According to Johnson, teens, recently married couples, and people who have not yet had all of the hope drained out of them by bitter life experience are at the greatest risk. - the Onion

Mmm... I haven't heard them all yet but I like what I'm listening. Nice post squashed.
I should probably add the onion to our blogroll as it is one of my favorite reads too :)

Robbers on the high streets didn't get a lot of prop last year, surprisingly. Their album is a sweet little happy punk album.

The rest are well crafted, high quality songs. Typical of MdM type of posts.

Overall, a loverly springtime selection, without the slightest hint of histamine-inducing pollen! "

when in doubt, MdM does it soft, lyrical and sexy. :D I think it always the beat and the harmonies that really deliver the punch.

incidentally, I think Jolie Holland is an absolute genius. She may not have Sarah Vaughn or Cassandra Wilson's voice, let alone Ella's. But she has the same intellectual level. It's amazing what she can deliver with her limited voice.

PS. what to check out in Patrice Larose, it's that majestic drum echoes midway around 2:15 and toward the end.
It's incredible.... gentle and big boooommm... very elegant.

And don't forget to download Clea's bounch peeps. You won't regret it. It's worth the click. That is a piece of work.
