((-( Release Us - - ( Very Good Things )
i can get too cryptic and mixtapy sometimes. but not today. no no not today. this is just a to-the-point and direct recommendation. you/we/everybody ha(s)ve to listen to the following songs and then decide if you/we/everybody want(s) to get the albums - which probably you/we/everybody should/will.
Mojave 3 are about to release their poppiest and most mature record to date, quite uptempo yet still as introspective-sounding as usual, and that is a very good thing. Just check the title track and the YoLaTengoesque last one.
Mojave 3, Puzzles Like You.
Mojave 3, The Mutineer.
Gustavo Cerati just released his fourth solo album and well, he's less electronic and more rock-oriented this time, something that makes him sound fresh and reinvigorated, and that's also a very good thing. now listen to the first single (Crimen) and also to my favorite song from the album - so far. (remember language shouldn't be an issue).
Gustavo Cerati, Crimen.
Gustavo Cerati, Adiós.
and finally i really have no idea why isn't everyone raving about the Young & Sexy album - and i mean hyperblogging; these canadians made something quite lovely and surprisingly well-crafted for a debut, which you know, is a very good (and rare) thing. it was really hard to pick tracks from this one, but these two are in my most played list.
Young & Sexy, Your Enemy's Asleep.
Young & Sexy, All The Little Boys & Girls.
and no no no, this is not a matter of opinion, or hype-inducing propaganda, i've said it many times before, and i will say it again, it's not my opinion what counts, it's my taste what's worthy, so don't pay attention to my words, pay attention to the music.
now let's all stop reading and get to listen please, and while we're at it, let's check Amnesty International.

Tambien me gustas cuando no eres "cryptic and mixtapy". Las canciones de Young & Sexy y de Mojave 3 pudieron haber sido compuestas en cualquiera de los ultimos 40 años y seguirian sonando bellisimas.
Gracias gil.

Any "yo la tengo" references will always catch me.
Nice songs. Can you believe I've never dared to listen to mojave 3 before?

how I do love Mojave 3 and the new tracks sound good. A band that formed out of the ashes of Slowdive has got to be good!
