Label Profile - Static Discos

Static Discos has remained at the forefront of experimental electronic music in Mexico since it beginnings in early 2002. The label was established by musicians Fernando Corona (Murcof, Terrestre), Rubén A. Tamayo (Fax) and Ejival, in Tijuana México as a sort of response to the emergent intelligent dance music community in the country and around latin america.

Recently, the label has released its first compilation, entitled "Lucky Stock". On the cusp of a gamut of electronic genres (minimal techno, electronic pop, kraut techno, indietronica, elektrotecno, dub and digital jazz), and with a modest yet steady growth, Static Discos collects the best of the best to craft an engaging and important document of this emergent movement in our country.

Future-wise, the label will most likely continue to release its large core of artists and attempt to remain on the cutting edge of electronic music- it’s done an amazing job, thus far.

Childs - Oliver
One second bridge - ghost (aguardiente remix)
Carrie - Cat power
Pepito - the new world
