It is weird to think that some MPB singers (or call it Bossa Nova) are so appraised in foreign countries. Caetano Velozo is not that grand anymore in Brazil. His past albuns (which dated from the 70's and 80's) were much better than the ones he's been putting out.

Of course he's still an acclaimed artist. Mostly because of the movement in which his songs flourished (Tropicalia) and the ICON image attributed to him due to previous work.

But, just recommending something as brazilian as it can be, and as good as it can get, try listening to Los Hermanos (spanish name, but inspired in Bossa Nova) album "Quatro". You won't regret it.

    Take care

I tried to make it interesting, isntead of random sequence or parade of style, I did it with changing drum density. (tension-release, loud-release, ...etc.) The list has "scenery" quality to it, breaking mid point at track 11, before climbing up again.

so... yeah, this list 'FLOW'... not just random slap dab. some part has extreme contrast, but stiched together still.

I've been giving it a few listens and I must say that this is truly a great list. Will keep it for my weekend.
    Thanks squashed.

yeah plenty of great artists in there.

definitely better than the group the record companies are pushing on the blogs. (the retro danceable punk Franz ferdinand/bloc party rehash is a bit tiring.)

We definitely need to start posting new interesting music,... otherwise I'll die listening to same stuff over and over again.
