Nico

Nico - These days

Nico - The fairest of the seasons

The Velvet Underground & Nico - I'll Be Your Mirror

The Royal Tenenbaums hipped me to a whole bunch of artists I had never heard of, like Elliott Smith and Nick Drake. In the case of Nico, I was only familiar with her work on The Velvet Underground & Nico; as far as I was concerned, she had dropped off the face of the earth after her split with the VU.
Someone told me that's Lou Reed playing guitar on these tracks. Is that true? I always assumed it was Jackson Browne, since he wrote them. Anyway, thank you for the music. How do you say "big ups" in Spanish?

both songs from the royal tennenbaums come from the "chelsea girl" album from 1974, and as you mentioned were composed by Jackson Browne. Lou Reed effectively plays guitar and shares composition credits on 3 of the tracks with John Cale. The Credits for the album are:

Jackson Browne (guitar), Lou Reed (guitar), Sterling Morrison (guitar/bass), and John Cale (piano/bass/viola).

Although the two tracks Kahlo has posted here feature Jackson Browne on guitar without Lou Reed.
