b. Out of the Dream Time

... conscious perception of one's state while dreaming, resulting in a much clearer ("lucid") experience and usually enabling direct control over the content of the dream. Context — The place or situation in the dream is strange. - Wiki (Lucid dreaming)

"People often ask me if I have any words of advice for young people. ... If you're doing business with a religious son-of-a-bitch,Get it in writing. His word isn't worth shit. Now some of you may encounter the Devil's Bargain, If you get that far.Any old soul is worth saving, At least to a priest,But not every soul is worth buying. So you can take the offer as a compliment. He tries the easy ones first. You know like money,All the money there is.But who wants to be the richest guy in some cemetary? Money won't buy. Not much left to spend it on, eh gramps? Getting too old to cut the mustard." -William S. Burroughs-

A short list, second in a series trying to capture dream, images of dream, the idea of dream and music. In this list, a collage of lucid images with odd context, hold together by some unexplained unifying idea. Out of the dream time.

I was just in your archives, back into December and some mp3 links are still good, why is that?
    remember this:
" All mp3's are up for promotional purposes only, and remain on the site for short periods. "

i know this blog isn't the only one, but it's one thing to post 'illegally' an mp3, but to leave it for months?
I don't have a problem with the posting, it's that the lnks should be broken after a week or so.

most of the unbroken links are not hosted by any of us but come directly from the artist's label.

The links coming from us (ezarchive) are already broken from mid January until now and I'm erasing them as time passes.
Do your homework hit and run.

MdM doesn't even keep file that far. About a month or two old files has to be flushed. (there is not enough space)

life links are usually means artist promo.

That Burroughs, always so grouchy. Used to diss Lou Reed for no good reason. Aphex used to be really big on the whole lucid dreaming tip. He reckoned he was quite the pro at it.

yeah the 60's NYC village scene can be a bit surreal. Burroughs and Lou reed do grouch about live and art with intensity.

The closest movie about vivid dream I can strongly recall is 'Eternal sunshine for the spotless mind' which really isn't about dreaming, alexander pop poem made into movie. But I like the image of thought/memory being casts and recasts.

About Kevin shield remix. (I thought he was the one doing the remix, instead of a mash up. ok. nevermind than. If it's a mash up it's mildly interesting instead of rediculous work by a great name)

PS. I tag the image credit.(Hugo(something something.) It's flickr

mmm, "waking life", maybe? That was the movie's main theme. Very interesting art concept they had there.
