Debe ser la ominosidad de los tiempos que se vienen, pero de veras que qué ganas de fiesta nos dan por estas fechas. A los niños no les queda más remedio que fumarse un camello o atragantarse de diversas bebidas para soportar el placer. Al final solo quedan sonidos, vibraciones, recuerdos, quizá algun ligue y polvo, mucho polvo. El censo "clubber" no acaba de tener el encéfalo de un Hegel pero a la prensa les da por rebuznar tanto sobre el estigma de "lo psicotrópico" que ponen a los dancers a la altura intelectual de un Chomsky. Les confirmo que el cuenco de vitriolo no es un arma precisa. Palabra de una conciencia y venas limpias, a mí solo me gusta ver como parpadean las luces.

Moviendo el tema unos grados, el día de hoy les ofrezco unas joyas de retachas de cosmic y house minimalista (no me explico como este año me han salido tantas adicciones a los sintetizadores y a los bpm) que me han hecho las últimas noches insoportablemente deliciosas. Disfruten su fin de semana.

Rogue Wave Benefit Concert

If you like a mix of wurlitzer in psychedelic indie rock, you probably know Rogue Wave and their drummer Pat. Well time to spread the words, donate, or attend their San Francisco concert, they are doing a benefit because Pat need a second liver transplant. (boo to insurance company)

In the meanwhile, I leave you with 6 artists I found this week that balance their sound between indie, pop and electronic + a song from Charlotte Gainsbourg's new record that was written by french duo, Air and a Looper remix by Pulp that's a bit old (1999) but I feel it fits well within the context of the post (check out the shoegaze influence on the intro and the unmistakeable Pulp touch on the last minute of the song). Un playlist dedicado al piano. La mayoria de las canciones le coquetean al drone, al minimalismo, a la melancolia y al constante ulular.
La ejecucion de las piezas es lenta. Esto siempre me ha parecido favorable al escuchar piano, inclusive tengo la mania de bajarle el pitch en mi estereo a los discos de Janacek, Debussy y Satie de mi padre para que las canciones se escuchen aletargadas. La razon a esta mania es que en general yo soy de reacciones lentas y asi creo se puede exagerar y apreciar mejor el peso de las teclas, la respuesta de los pedales y como el sonido se desplaza dentro de la sala donde se encuentra ubicado el instrumento.

Clearly she is trying to incorporate operatic work but the works felt directionless and hastily put together unconvincingly. (see JN hypemachine ) List above: It opens with a medieval track, Pucini (Madame Butterfly).. progressively moving into more recent works and complicated rythm section. At the center lies My Brightest Diamond balancing beat and melody and ends with Eliane Elias upcoming album with bossa nova. It's a little unusual list, but imagine facing chilly breeze in a wide open air field, facing the coming season. Enjoy.

Mini Review: Gone Away is from My Brightest Diamond debut album 'Bring Me The Workhorse'. A song album heavily influenced by Opera and classical works. Read interview here. I felt 'Bring Me The Workhorse' is one of the better work this season.
